Look up a detail using natural language

A screenshot search assistant is intended to help you describe the information you want instead of remembering the exact filename or date. For example: “did I send John money this week?”, “find the confirmation from my internet provider,” or “show the screenshot with my flight details.”

For payment screenshots, a good result should point to the original image and make the visible date, amount, and payment app easy to verify. It should not claim access to your payment account unless you explicitly connected one; Luma's concept is based on searching saved gallery images.

Use search to surface saved information

The same approach could help locate a subscription message, an order number, a saved address, or a note you captured from a webpage. You might narrow a search by name, service, or approximate time, then open the matching screenshot.

This is different from searching messages or email. A gallery assistant looks for information in images already in your photo library; it does not automatically search other apps or accounts.

Protect private screenshots

Screenshots can expose account balances, addresses, order numbers, and personal conversations. Before choosing any image search app, understand where analysis happens, how results are stored, and how to remove your data.

Luma is in development, so its final technical and privacy details are not available yet. The waitlist does not access screenshots, contacts, or payment apps, and the examples on this page describe intended uses rather than current functionality.
